A second songwriting camp in German-Danish cooperation between the initiator Micael Castor Andersen and Meisel Music Publishers took place in Berlin’s Hansa Studios from 3 to 5 October 2022. “It was again very creative days with our Danish friends,” reports Kirsten Meisel as managing director of Edition Intro Meisel: “Great songs were created and we are already looking forward to the next camp next year.”

According to Micael Castor Andersen, tailor-made titles for current Schlager acts were created during the Songwrting Camp: “Since 2016, I’ve been organising Schlager camps in Germany, where German lyricists write songs together with Danish topliners and producers.” During this period, he says, more than 50 titles have already been released with acts such as Annemarie Eilfeld, Alexander Rier and Anna-Carina Woitschack.

“It is a great pleasure for me to organise a Danish-German Schlager Camp together with Meisel Musikverlage for the second time at Hansa Studios.” The initiator reports a “great inspiring atmosphere” and “a lot of sympathy” among the participants: “The quality of the songs created exceeded my expectations.”

The project was supported by the two Danish organisations Rosa and Neustart.
